About the Ocean, Sophia de Mello Breyner Andersen, a Portuguese Poet and Writer, describes it in the best possible way: “The Sea, half of my soul is made of the salt air sea / Because of the same restlessness and nostalgia, / That there is a cry in the vast high tide / That nothing material ever satisfied me. / And it’s because of your shattered waves on the sand / That they get up again even stronger / That after each fall, I walk back again to Life.”
The “New Wave” Pendant was inspired by the Ocean Waves, by the sense of Freedom on a Wave, by its transparency and movement. The Ocean is a constant source of Inspiration! The Ocean is a symbol of the Infinite, because of its boundless extension, of its immense vastness. The Ocean also represents the beginning of everything, and so, in some cultures, it is connected to the Divine and to the Universal Spirit. The Ocean is a symbol of Life!

The Ocean represents strength and the Ocean Waves are a symbol of this strength empowered by the release of immense energy. The Ocean means movement, but it is also connected to the meaning of calm on the horizon, of tranquillity. Just by looking at the Ocean, you calm your Spirit and Soul. The Oceans are essential for planet Earth and this also reminds us about how fragile our planet is and how it needs our protection, for many reasons such as the increasing pollution and disrespect for the Environment we have been witnessing in the last decades, all caused by Humans. We urgently need to change this path!
On a first stage, its design was produced with a watercolor inspired by the magnificent Ocean Waves. A second stage followed using 3D Modelling with a specific parametric 3D design software – Fusion and AutoCAD – that was applied together with the 3D Printing Technology on a Formlabs 3D Printer producing a castable wax resin piece. On a third stage, this resin piece was handed over to a Jewellery Workshop, to the work of a certified traditional goldsmith that transformed it into a precious silver Jewel. These three steps were carefully executed and monitored with a special attention to every detail, so that the result would be a unique Jewel with a special meaning and top quality.
