The World Travel Awards has recently delivered the prize for Best Tourist Destination in the World to Portugal, for four consecutive years, in the years of 2017, 2018, 2019 and 2020. These awards are proof of the quality that characterizes making Tourism, in Portugal. In 2019, this Award Ceremony occurred in Muscat, Oman, confirming Portugal, our beautiful country as a top-class destination. In 2020, this Award Ceremony occurred in London, UK, where 26 Portuguese destinations were recognized as leading travel destinations. In 2021, the Island of Madeira, Portugal, was recognized as the “World’s Leading Island Destination” and Algarve, Portugal, as the “World’s Leading Beach Destination”. In 2022, the ceremony took place in Mallorca, Spain, where Algarve was awarded the “World’s Leading Beach Destination”, Porto received the award “World’s Leading City Destination” and Lisbon was recognized as the “World’s Leading Cruise Destination”.
